Comanche Appraisal District Passes Texas Comptroller’s Review

In 2009, the Texas Legislature enacted a new law that requires the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts to review appraisal districts every 2 years.  The review called the Methods and Assistance Program (MAP) includes documentation and analysis of a district’s compliance with state law including detailed review of a district’s performance in 4 critical areas: governance, taxpayer assistance, operating procedures, and appraisal standards, procedures, and methodology.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts recently announced its findings after extensive review of appraisal districts in 2016 by the Property Tax Assistance Division.  The Comanche Central Appraisal District (CCAD) passed or met ALL mandatory requirements of evaluation in the Methods and Assistance Program.
